The older campus of the two-year women's college that once defined Endicott (now a four-year, coed institution), the master plan developed, designed, and implemented by JSA transformed the South Campus into the now-highly successful Wylie Conference Center.
We transformed an aging institutional building into high-traffic conference center with a distinctive new image. With wetland boundaries limiting expansion options, a new floor level was added within the volume of the original gymnasium space. A pavilion with loggia creates the main entrance, visually linking campus elements.
The Wylie Inn
Originally student housing, Ebinger Hall was completely renovated in the final phase of the South Campus master plan. This renovation incorporated a new wing to create The Inn at Wylie Conference Center, a 92-room hotel to accommodate guests attending conferences.
The addition to the Manor House was created to host large functions and social receptions. Regional seaside architectural icons were researched, resulting in a conservatory addition topped by an octagonal lantern clearstory, and restored grandeur. Light-filled space flows out into breathtaking views from a rocky cliff over the Atlantic.
